This Major Learning Outcome was fulfilled through one course (linked below) that I have taken during my time at CSUMB. This classes was on Hispanic culture, focusing on Latin America form Mexico to Chile. I learned both the long history of the regions, the cultures, and the political turmoils over time. I was able to understand Japanese culture in a different light when looking at it in comparison to Latin American culture. This class also helped me during the selection of my Capstone Project, for which I decided on the topic of foreign workers in Japan, because many people from these Latin American countries had traveled to Japan, especially Brazil.
