This Major Learning Outcome was fulfilled through four courses (linked below) that I have taken during my time at CSUMB. These classes were taught primarily in Japanese, increasing by language skills. In the different classes I communicated with interpersonal communication when talking with teachers or fellow classmates in the target language. I also worked on interpretive communication when listening to teacher lectures or presentations done by other students. Then through doing periodic presentations I worked on that type of communication as well. We also learned grammar and vocab in some of these classes and while doing so focusing on proper pronunciations of the vocabulary as well as the structure of the language when using different grammar points. These classes highly helped my Capstone Project by increasing my language ability so that I would be able to properly research in as well as produce a presentation in the target language.
